Climate change is one of the compelling challenges of the 21st century. At the same time, it offers the unique opportunity to develop a new economic model. The European Green Deal provides the blueprint for this profound transformation.
With the new and updated energy and climate legislation, the EU aims to reduce emissions by 55% by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050.
The "Fit for 55" package and the "EU Taxonomy" are key pillars of this strategy. Each of them, through their legislative proposals, aims to scale up and accelerate the green transition in various sectors.
For example, the "Fit for 55" package has among its aims the extension of emissions trading to the construction and transport sectors.
The EU taxonomy provides the regulatory framework for the growing market of sustainable finance. From 2021/2022, companies will also be required to use taxonomy standards to make clear how 'green' their activities and investments are.
With this seminar we want to introduce you to the importance of these new frameworks for the real estate and construction industry. We offer you a special selection of experts who each from a specific angle take you through this new European language.
This lecture is intended for all people involved in the real estate and construction sector. From architects, spatial planners, real estate developers, promoters, policy staff, the management of logistics, mobility, energy, care and utility companies, ... For those who are confronted with this impact from their daily practice.
